Book Review: The 80/10/10 Diet is a Secret Weapon for Athletes!
Summary: 5 Stars

The healthiest people I've met around the planet all eat this way.
As an ultra marathon runner, my body functions significantly better on the 80/10/10 diet.

Book Review: Fatphobia?
Summary: 2 Stars

Dr. Graham and other vegans base their low protein requirement on the fact that the most perfect of all foods, mother's milk, has only about 5% protein. Well, it also has about 56% fat. This suggests that not only do most people consume too much protein (as believed by Graham), but not nearly enough fat. What is the reason for the 10% limit on fat anyway? Such "fatphobia" by Graham and other vegan doctors (Pritikin, Ornish, McDougall, etc.) can really not be justified. I think 80/10/10 is much too high in carbohydrates and much too low in fat and perhaps too low in protein as well. Something like 20/60/20 seems much better, that is, 20% carbs, 60% fat, 20% protein. What fun is eating when you have to religiously avoid delicious foods like nuts and avocados?

Book Review: the key to success on a raw vegan diet

The best book about raw foods out there. A lot of raw food authors are all talk and essentially full of **** (in spite of the many coffee colonics...). Doug Graham is the exception. His book and his diet are fantastic, I've personally had amazing success maintaining a 100% low fat raw vegan diet over a long period by living the 80/10/10 lifestyle. My body has easily found it's ideal weight, my acne disappeared, my athleticism returned, and my constant depression virtually disappeared. Sticking to this diet takes some planning and dedication, but the reward is well worth the 'effort'. This book, and diet, simply makes sense. I'm incredibly thankful for Doug and his work...it's changed and enhanced my life in so many ways!

Great book on nutrition, great message, if you are eating enough fruits(incl. veggie fruits) and celery/greens, you will be meeting caloric, vitamin, mineral, EFA (essential fatty acid), protein (and individual amino acid) needs. It's a good idea to plug it into a program like cronometer or check on [...] to make sure you are meeting certain minimums, but keep in mind many of those minimums are for those on poor diets, with poor absorption.

You create B12 in your gut if you cut out onion, garlic, salt, ginger, cayenne, and other irritant spices.

Exercise daily so you can eat the amount of fruit and greens you need!

Get sunshine, positive activities, emotional poise, LOVE.

Book Review: Eye Opening
Summary: 5 Stars

Reading this book makes me amazed at the fact that more folks don't follow this diet. I read the book cover to cover twice and have been following the 80/10/10 way of eating for the past 2.5 months and have lost 25 lbs (from 190 to 165 - I'm a 5'11" male). No more mucus, sleep is much more restful. I actually want to exercise now, my skin is clearer, old aches and pains are disappearing. Dr. Graham does a great job of bringing to light the relevant research and also common sense arguments about why this is the healthiest way to eat and live. I highly recommend this book to anyone. I have already given my copy to my parents and plan to buy a few other copies to give to other folks. Good luck!
