Book Review: ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!
Summary: 5 Stars
I had purchased this as a gift for someone who born in Ghana. We have discussed many times how much we love Obama. When I received the book, I had to look at it. The photographs are exquisite and layout excellent. It contains very useful and interesting information. Boy, he sure was a beautiful little boy! Michelle looks elegant as always and Malia and Natasha's photos really show the reader just how AMAZINGLY beautiful they are as well. They bring a smile to my face, as I am sure they do to everybody's, every time I see them. They are blessings of pure joy!
A book for everyone who loves Obama and, those who appreciate it's splendid photography. I was very impressed with the whole thing.
Unfortunately, I have to buy gifts at this time of year and, have a small amount to do it with, so I will have to wait to get my copy. Hopefully, someone will put it on their list for me!
It was very difficult to give it up. I just want to keep looking at it!
Book Review: Excellent Collection!

The American Journey of Barack Obama is a wonderful retrospective of Barack Obama's political and personal life. The book starts off with a wonderful foreword by Senator Edward M. Kennedy and the Obama family tree. The family tree includes pictures that gives a clear picture to Senator Obama's family history. The text in this book documents the Senator's career from teaching constitutional law to his nomination for the presidency. What really makes this book stand out are the numerous candid photos of Barack, Michelle and their children. There are photos that date back to early childhood all the way to the Democratic National Convention. The American Journey of Barack Obama is a book that everyone should have in their collection.

Book Review: The Essence that is Barack Obama

The editors at LIFE Magazine were able to present the essence of the phenomenal rise and successful national campaign of Barack Obama. I chose this historic accounting to present to several hard-working, grassroots volunteers as a big Thank You for the work they, too, accomplished during this epoch time. One volunteer shed many tears as he grasped the book and said, "Look at his smile, it looks like mine!"
Everyone loved the book as a way to remind themselves that finally "We the People" have helped give voice to the Hope, Dreams, and Change that is America. Barack Obama will be there to help America continue to hear those voices, and LIFE Magazine has given us a beautiful chronicle to urge us onward.
Book Review: Beautiful book about our new President

The American Journey of Barack Obama by the Editors of Life is a beautiful coffee table book. It tells the story of Barack Obama from birth through the Presidential race, but it was printed before Election Day. This book doesn't really introduce any new material but it does a nice job of presenting Barack's history in a easily read, conversational tone. As would be expected from Life, the book is filled with beautiful, full-color photographs, some of which were not previously published.
My favorite part of the book is the essays in the back from "12 fine thinkers and writers," including Gay Talese and Andrei Codresu. These essays and the photographs make this book unique among the Barack Obama books.
Book Review: Stunning Photographs

This book is what you would expect from Life books! There are photographs of just about every stage of Obama's life. As a young boy, teenager, and as an adult. There are photos of him with each of his parents and grandmother and many of him with his beautiful family. There is even a photo of Barack and Bono together, sigh. The photography is exquisite!
The book takes us through Barack's career all the way through to the August 2008 Democratic Convention in Denver.
If you want a memento of our 44th president elect's life and achievements so far, this is a book for you. It is going on my coffee table, where everyone can see it. It's a treasure!
