I had an extremely tough anatomy and physiology course in college. My professor taught at the docrate level, and was EXTREMELY thorugh. I'd heard from some, that a coloring book like this would help. The kid in me thought it would be a good way to relax some and learn. This book is excellent! Especially if you need to learn the arteries and veins. There are some pages I never did get colored in before my classes were up, but it was worth it for the ones I did complete (and I plan on coloring the other pages later). I am happy to say I passed my classes and now would recommend this book to others.Book Review: anatomy coloring book - waste of time

This is actually a required text for massage therapy class, under the assumption that aspiring massage therapists learn through using their hands (to color?). On one hand it does seem useful to color anatomy to really anchor in one's mind the muscle and bone locations, connections, uses, movements and sensitivities. On the other hand though is the problem with clarity. The pictures to color in are not large enough to clarify detail. If you must purchase this book, be sure to buy 24-36 different colors in your pencil set. The book suggests 10, but that's not enough.Book Review: A great way to learn anatomy!

This book uses a completely different approach to learning anatomy, and it worked great for me!
This book was part of my massage school curriculum and I feel that coloring the muscles really helped me to learn them more quickly and more completely. PLUS you get to color! And not feel silly for enjoying it!
I think this is a great book for anyone interested in anatomy. I think it would be a great way to get kids and teens interested in anatomy, also.
PLUS it's very cheap for an anatomy book! :)

Book Review: THIS COLORING BOOK IS YOUR BEST FRIEND

I used it religiously and it really got me through A&P I and II. Not only is it a great study tool for home, I took it to lab as well to help me id certain parts on the models. When you are tired of studying and think your brain is going to explode, sit down with your coloring book (even in front of the tv) and relax. The coloring will get the info into your head and it can be a good stress reliever. I have seen many classmates with other books and this one is the best by far! I got and A in both A&P I and II and I swear I owe a lot of it to this book.Book Review: Great Product

Excellent product, purchased for the second time. Original purchase was for massage therapy classes an when I went back to school for Medical ICB I searched for this book again for class use. It is very easy to learn anatomy using this coloring book as a supplement to regular class work. The hands on process helps you remember items easier that just reading and memorizing. Very detailed book and my class instructor was intrigued and purchased her own copy for use in upper level schooling she is enrolled in..
