Book Reviews of The Beach House: A NovelBook Review: waste of my time Summary: 1 Stars
I cannot believe that I purchased this book on some recommendations that I received at Amazon. I feel cheated of my money and my time. There is nothing redeeming in this book. It is not well written, story is dull and oh so predictable. I am actually throwing it away rather than giving it to my local charity, as I don't want anyone else out there to waste their time. Wish someone would have warned me. Consider yourself warned.
Book Review: The Beach House Summary: 5 Stars
I loved this book , a great summer read. Once I started I could not put it down. I recently purchased two other Jane Green's novels; Promises To Keep which is also a delight but completely different type of novel and Dunes Road which I have not started but am looking forward to reading as well. I would tell anyone who enjoys a good story and relaxing reading to purchase any of Jane Green's novels.
Book Review: The Beach House Summary: 4 Stars
Great book. Just finished reading it and had a hard time doing anything else other than finishing it. The characters are great and loved the way everything came together for all of them. I'm already trying to decide which of the next books I'll be reading by Ms. Green. I'm sure the next one will be as good if not better than Beach House.
Book Review: A great book to read on vacation Summary: 3 Stars
I read this book while on vacation with my family. It has some interesting characters that are easy to relate to. Jane Green always does a nice job creating a story and this book is no different. This isn't really a book that stays with you for a long time after you've finished it, but it does leave you feeling happy and grateful.
Book Review: fun & emotional Summary: 3 Stars
This is my first book to read by Jane Green. I got a total kick out of the main character's ecentric nature, and felt like I could identify with the characters' pain & emotion. I agree with the other reviews that this book would make a good beach read, but I feel like something was missing...that it could have been more powerful.
