Book Reviews of The Bronze BowBook Review: Fantastic!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I am an [...] girl and this is the absolute best ever book I've ever read in my whole entire life. It is spectacular!! A story about a boy named Daniel, a sister that will not leave the house, a bunch of outlaws, and Roman soldiers. The book also includes Jesus. Elizibeth Speare carefully weaved the truth of Christ in this book. It is very emotional at the end. I cried while telling my mother what happened at the end. It truly impacted me. It makes me want to follow Jesus and please him.
You must understand when I say "the best book I've ever read", what it beat. Here are some books I've read that this book outshined.
The Hobbit
Harry Potter
Shannara
Les Miserables
Narnia
Hittite Warrior
Cat of Bubastes
The Golden Goblet
...and lots more. Notice the last three book titles. Those are also fabulous books. Bronze Bow, however, is wonderful. I can't decide which words to use. You would have to read the book yourself to know what I mean. You will like it, trust me.

Book Review: Memorable Impact Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of those you will read all your life. If you've ever dealt with prejudice it's a life-changer. If you even just like action and intrigue, it tingles with it. The story revolves around Daniel's hatred of the Romans who oppress him and how he resists the entrance of love into his life. Intelligent, spunky Malthace and her brother, new acquaintances of his, surprise some humanity from under his dark exterior. Then there's his beautiful sister, Leah, who has been traumatized by witnessing Roman retribution as a child. What to do when a young Roman soldier falls in love with her? Meanwhile, rumors abound about a new leader who will unite the zealots and all true patriots to overthrow Roman rule... a Jesus of Nazareth, who is coming to town. I discovered this book as a child and when I became a teacher, read it aloud to my class one summer. On the day of the last chapter I lost my voice and my boss happened to come by and read it aloud to the class for me. At the final paragraph, his voice broke and he actually cried... a powerful book.
Book Review: A 6th Grade Review of the Bronze Bow Summary: 4 Stars
In The Bronze Bow by Elizabeth George, a Newbery book, a young boy named Danniel is in a town conquered by Romans. He is in a group of people who are trying to build an army strong enough to drive the Romans out of Israel. He is on a mountain with a bunch of bandits when he meets two village children named Joel and Thace who become good friends. He asks them to tell a man named Simon to come up to the mountain. When Simon comes he takes Danniel to church to see someone named Jesus who is a preacher. Eventually the children start a band of rebels. As the teacher Jesus becomes popular Simon joins him. Danniel meets Jesus a couple of times and Jesus says that only if he worships God will he be rid of the Romans. As Danniel struggles to do what's right his sister falls ill. Thace finds Jesus and brings him to Danniel's house. Jesus heels Danniel's sister Leah. When Jesus heels Leah it convinces Danniel that hate is not the way to live. This relates to my theme of survival because of Danniel trying to survive in the Roman Empire.
Book Review: kcs bronze bow freaks Summary: 4 Stars
How would you feel if you were trapped between the powerful emotions of love and hate? Would you be loyal to your distressed loved ones? Or would you let your passion for revenge take hold of your life? And eighteen-year-old Daniel Bar Jarmin, citizen of Ketzah during Jesus's era is faced with this problem.
Daniel's life is based on his turmoil struggling between his life on the mountains following Rosh and training for battle against the Romans and his life taking care of his sick grandmother and his possessed sister. Through his journey Daniel is faced with another complicated decision; to following Rosh in the name of vengeance, or to give up his hate for the sake of Jesus?
Speare has a very creative way of depicting the period of time the story is based on so the reader may vividly visualize the setting. The main character's thoughts and feelings are also very descriptive in a way that you can imagine you were the main character. I would reccomend this book to everyone because the author is such a good writer.
