Book Review: uplifts the young and the old.
Summary: 5 Stars

In my attempt to read all the Newberry Award winners I had put off reading The Bronze Bow. In fact it wasn't until I had read a few pages that I become throughly involved in the story of Daniel. I feel this book has much to give to readers of all ages. The messages of faith and endurance speak to all. I felt the writing and plot lines drew in the reader and made you feel like you were on the mountain with Daniel. The one thing I feared was that it would be a litle preachy, but Jesus was so human in this book that you could really concentrate on the messages that he was teaching. I recommend this book to those who want to feel their spirits lift with every turning of the page

Book Review: A Special Love Story
Summary: 5 Stars

At first,I thought it was going to be another one of those religous books. It took chapters to get to the reason for the title. But then, something happened as I was reading.

The lessons of love impressed me deeply. There are many kinds of love here-the love of God,a lesson in loving your enemies, love which stems from graditutde, love between friends, love between brother and sister, love between man and woman.

The love between Marcus and Leah is a case of a lonely young man and a frightened young woman each helping one another. The love between Daniel and Thacia is mutual admiration, regard and closeness. Many kinds of love can really bend the bronze bow.

Book Review: An inspiring and exciting book
Summary: 5 Stars

"He hath trained my arms for war, so I can bend a Bow of Bronze." I loved this book for many reasons, #1, it is very deatailed, almost as if you are seeing out of Daniel's eyes. It shows what it is like to be under the rule of an empire. It describes his feelings very clearly. #2 It is exiting. There is fire for war in Daniel's eyes. There is strategy, skill, and breathtaking moments that will keep you reading. WARNING WARNING: IF YOU ARE UNDRE THE AGE OF 12, YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE THIS BOOK. IF YOU ARE ANY AGE, IT MIGHT GET BORING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BOOK. DO NOT ABANDON IT!!!! I PROMISE IT WILL GET BETTER. Everything else about this book is perfect. Enjoy!:)

Book Review: To Bend a Bow of Bronze One Must Forgive (by a 13 Year Old)
Summary: 4 Stars

The Book, "The Bronze Bow" is the best book I've ever read. The Book is about a young Jewish boy living in the time of the Romans; he despises and hates the Romans because they killed his Father and caused the death of his mother and permanently scarred his sister. He becomes part of an outlaw gang to try and get the Romans out of Israel in whatever way possible. While recruiting men and boys he sees a carpenter teaching people to put down their weapons, help one another and to love your neighbor as yourself which he thinks is ridiculous. But, will this humble carpenter, teach him that to love your enemy is the true way to happiness, not revenge?
