Book Reviews of The ChoiceBook Review: Makes me love my spouse even more! Summary: 5 Stars
I just finished reading this book, and I loved it! Durring the first 187 pages of the book I was imagining that "the choice" was going to be something that the main female character, Gabby, was going to make. In true Sparks fashion, a curve ball was thrown in and the reader finds that "the choice" is left for the leading male character, Travis, to make. The threading question throughout the book is, "How far would you go in the name of love?" Sparks tells a wonderfully captivating story about love and loss; joy and dispair; life and death. I was preparing myself for the ending I thought was inevitable, but I was pleasantly surprised at the second curve ball that comes at the end of the book.
My friend was telling me just the other night that she didn't care for Sparks' books, because she thinks he's against a happy ending. I'm definitely recommending this book to her, and any one else that wants a good love story! It makes you appreciate more what and who you have in your life. A definite keeper!
Book Review: Absolutely loved it! Summary: 5 Stars
After reading the description on the back of the book, I knew I had to purchase it.
This book was incredibly well written and so real. I say this because the entire first half of the book is hauntingly similar to my personal life experience. It almost seemed as if Nicholas Sparks had listened to the story of how I met my fiance and decided to re-create it in a different setting with different characters. But the words that were spoken by the characters and the feelings described were spot on.
My only small gripe about the book is (as some other reviewers had mentioned) the big jump from one point in the characters' life to years later. I think Nicholas Sparks could have went into a whole lot more detail, but that certainly didn't take away much from the book.
Book Review: Wow! I underestimated this book! Summary: 5 Stars
I wasn't expecting much from this novel mainly because I had never really heard of it. I only read it because I love Nicholas Spark's books. Since it's not really popular, I didn't think it was going to be very good. I was wrong! This is a really good story and it's fairly short. It only took me a day to read (but I pretty much read nonstop). The choice is literally about a choice that the main character has to make. It's heartbreaking, funny and a good love story. I like this Nicholas Spark's book because it's from both characters point of views so you get to see more of the story. Definitely a worth while read.
Book Review: Amazing story Summary: 5 Stars
I've read this book twice. My friend purchased it in an airport on our way to Italy and since we had a layover in London, she thought a good book would help pass the time. Am I glad she bought this! She read it pretty quick since Nicholas Sparks tends to write books that are easy to get into. The story is very romantic and it really wraps you in the lives of these two individuals. Of course the author makes you cry, but again, it's what make the story better by drawing the reader emotionally in as well. I hope that if or when this movie is made, that it's properly cast and it sticks to the book.
Book Review: The Choice by Nicholas Sparks Summary: 5 Stars
I have become an avid Nicholas Sparks fan. I find that he writes with such passion that the reader can truly feel what the characters are thinking and feeling. This book made me love it, then hate it, then love it again! Like all of his other books, he threw me for a loop. I had no idea he could tug at my heart like he did in this book. I was overcome with emotion and it brought me to think about choices in my life and how I would react to such a decision. Amazingly written and I think one of his best books. This love story will be with me for a long time, I am sure.
