Book Reviews of The ChoiceBook Review: It was... okay Summary: 3 Stars
This is my first book from this author (who I primarily know from the success of A Walk to Remember and The Notebook) and one that I picked up randomly off the shelf and decided to try.
My overall though... it was okay. It took me longer to read than it should have - primarily because the characters and plot just didn't suck me in the way they should have. I didn't like Gabby. Her character rubbed me in all the wrong ways.
But it was okay. Something that will sit on my shelf for a couple of years until I feel the need to read it again.
Book Review: Travis and Gabby Summary: 5 Stars
I picked up The Choice Saturday morning and by Saturday afternoon I had read the entire book. I loved this book. The characters were great! Travis and Gabby were great together and interesting on their own. The story of Travis and Gabby was both heart warming and funny! Several times I caught myself just sitting there grinning. I love books that can make you feel such emotions. The second part of the book leaves you a little nervous because you are so attached to them. Great Read...I would recommend this book to anyone.
Book Review: Good Choice Summary: 3 Stars
This novel was definitely one of his better novels. The realness and simplicity in the beginning and the sudden twist made it a read till the end novel. Make sure that you can read it in a short period of time to really immerse yourself. The emotion that sparks was able to pour into the second part of the novel was outstanding. He was able to pull the reader into the characters choice. Trying not to cry took a lot of energy, like many of his other books. Overall I liked this novel a lot, it's right up there with The Notebook.
Book Review: Never lose hope.... Summary: 4 Stars
Once again, I was not let down by Nicholas Sparks' compelling love story of a young couple who fall in love over night. It is a story that teaches readers to stay strong and to never lose hope. I thought the novel was an excellent read. The realistic characters and events in the novel made it both heartwarming and heartbreaking all in one fantastic story. The hardship Travis struggles to face in the novel leaves me with a feeling of hope and inspiration. If you love Nicholas Sparks you will love this book.
Book Review: Really Enjoyable Summary: 4 Stars
How many of us have a plan for if a love one is alive but unresponsive? That question haunted me quite a bit as I read through this book. Would we be able to keep visiting, loving, believing and living if we had to go through it? Nicholas Sparks does a great job of making us not only love his characters but relate to them in ways that make them friends. I found in this book I knew many people like the characters in my life and it drew me into Spark's story even more. A great book by a great author.
