Book Reviews of The ChoiceBook Review: Okay read, not great. Summary: 1 Stars
I love a good story of romance, but this was just too sappy for me. I also didn't understand how Travis, the perfect male, fell in love with Gabby, who to me was quite boring. She responded with so few words and seemed quite wishy-washy. I know that this sounds ridiculous, but she showed no excitement over having a litter of puppies in her house! I don't think she ever petted one of those puppies! I guess that's how Travis knew she'd be such a good mother?
Book Review: Gripping Story... Summary: 4 Stars
I really liked this one. It was beyond heartwarming. But it asks some major questions about just what would you do and how far would you actually go for love? "The Choice" is a gripping story that takes you to those deep dark places concerning faith, love, commitment, enduring, and truth. And it makes you ask yourself where do your beliefs truly lie when faced with such life altering decisions.
I would highly recommend this read.
Book Review: A Pretty Good Read. Summary: 4 Stars
Looking for a good romantic book, I picked up the choice based on the good reviews and summary. Overall, I thought it was a good book, not great but good. I expected a little more romance and more on the relationship rather than their lives before the relationship. Sparks is a descriptive writer so that was good and I saw the whole picture clearly as I read each page. Look into it if you are looking for a good, romantic read.
Book Review: Wonderful Book Summary: 5 Stars
I loved this book by Nicholas Sparks. I am a huge fan of this author and enjoyed every book up to this point. This book, however, blew me away. It was a wonderful story of first love that was similar to the way my husband and I met. The characters and emotions were very real. The ending made me cry and was completely unexpected. I recommend anyone who likes a good love story (such as "The Notebook") to give this book a try!
Book Review: Dee Lundgren Christian Counselor Langhorne, PA Summary: 3 Stars
Not a realistic love story about a veternarian and his attractive next door neighbor. The book is predictable but at least ends happily. Its appeal is the female reader's obsession with guy falls hard for girl kind of story. It has some entertainment value but I wouldn't recommend it. I wish that Sparks would have had the couple have higher moral standards in their dating.
