Book Review: Author is Poison to the Soul

I had been hoping to gain some insight and useful ways to deal with hostile, verbally or emotionally abusive type people. You know, the kind of stuff you can't necessarily see or explain well (as with physical violence) but it's just as bad. I will not read this book and have it influence my life or relations with others. Her viewpoint is so negative it is just not something you want to poison your thinking or world with. She's got people all pigeon-holed into nasty little packages that are not based on 20 years of experience but rather on a general dislike of people and the human condition. The kind of stuff you might be wanting to get away from and help with in our increasingly negative and hostile society.
Reading through some of this stuff, I am simply appalled at the negative attributes she puts on people for things she obviously doesn't understand. For example, God forbid someone should be shy, uncomfortable, or even talk softly. To her wicked reasoning, these characteristics are hiding the devil, so to speak, and are cause for alarm. And God forbid that a quiet, shy person should become angry, like anyone else, you know, like a 'normal' human being. Just absurd.
She comes from such a negative, heartless place that I hope she is not a practicing psychologist because she is in the wrong field for helping people or helping people to understand themselves or others. This is not a reference based on kindness, love for or generosity towards others or oneself, or spirituality (as with Dr. Wayne Dyer). No, I wasn't expecting all that but did expect some kindness and understanding and a whole lot of knowledge and understanding from a psychologist than that which I have read here -- which is going into the trash for what it is - GARBAGE (not going to sell poisonous toxic materials). I hope this is not representative of how most psychologists (or others) think of people. What a horrible influence on our world.
What a manipulative, hyper-critical, control freak. As she would say -- run for your life. (And you will be very lonely if you follow her unhuman and inhumane philosophies on people.)
