The firsts 4 volumes of the Dark Tower Saga, imposible to get anywhere else, and an incredible price. This 4 books tell us the first part of the story of Roland of Gilead and his search for the Dark Tower. The 1st book was published almos 30 years ago, therefore the dificulty in finding it, aund the 7th and last volume "The Dark Tower" was published recently, completing Stephen King's most ambicious work.
The Dark Tower saga is Stephen King at his best, among his whole career, a story that deserves to be read by anyone who calls himselve a Stephen King fan, a cult person or an avid reader.

Since I love Stephen King, I love this set. However, while reading it, I found that 50 pages are missing in Book Two. I am going to finish reading the set and if no other pages are missing I plan on notifying the publisher about this problem. I am not sure if anyone else will have this problem. Page numbers in book two are 275 through 324. I can't say enough good things about this series - and if you're on this page, it means you're about to make a fantastic purchase. I read lots of King in my teens, but had stopped years ago to start 'serious fiction'... but what a joy the Dark Tower stories have been to discover after all this time.
The only reason this isn't getting 5 stars is because of the print run. Definitely a bargain getting this box set, but I believe earlier copies also had some beautiful illustrations - which I would have liked to see.
But read, read, read!

This series is the most amazing that stephen king has ever done. Its finally finished. Twenty years later. This box set is good for those that have read the series before but ten years ago and need a refresher for the final book. Each book has added content from the author that helps tie all the books together. The writing is intense and haunting, making you think of it and appreciate the characters. I have come to adore the characters, each of them represent a different part of life and experience. I love jake and oy the best. "est!"Book Review: Great books, low price.

I got the books in time and they were great. However, I am getting frustrated with Amazon because it says to click here and get free shipping and then I never do. The web page is hard to navigate as well. You buy something and can never get back onto the page where you were, so if you want to buy three things, you are out of luck. Usually by the time you find your way back to the first page, you have navigated out of your "store" and the first purchase is not recorded. I am getting frustrated with using Amazon. sharon
