Book Reviews of The Enemy (Jack Reacher, No. 8)Book Review: The Enemy Summary: 5 Stars
The Enemy was my first Lee Child Novel but it won't be the last. I enjoyed the character of Jack Reacher , it held my attention from the very beginning.
Since I am retired I read at least two books a week and recently have been reading Robert Crais's Elvis Cole Novels, Michael Connelly and James W. Hall but now Lee Child has my attention.
Book Review: Intriguing Summary: 4 Stars
The pace of the book is great and it takes us from New Years Eve well into the month of January. There are some things which require a suspension of disbelief such as the Chief of Staff sending all MPS Officers to various Forts to stop a conspiracy. Lt. Summer is a little too perfect and Reacher is never in any real danger.
Book Review: The Best Of The Best Summary: 3 Stars
I am a prodigious book reader, well over 100 annually. Only recently have I discovered Lee Child, and in doing so have found the most artful writer of all times. However, even tho' all his novels superlative, "The Enemy" is far and above the most gripping of any novel ever, by ANYone!

Book Review: Is everyone kidding? Summary: 1 Stars
Enemy is certainly not entitled to the reviews it has received. Listening to the audio CD made me crazy. If he said once, "I said nothing" or "he said nothing" or 'she said nothing" he said it 50 times and that was on the first disc! This is really a so-so story with so-so characters. A 'C' at best.
Book Review: ENjoyed it but I could put it down. Summary: 3 Stars
A nice thriller/mystery. Not the best, not the worst. Note to Amazon - allow the reviewers to give half stars. Unlike the 5* reviewers, I could definitely put it down. Unlike the 1* reviewers, I was not bothered by any purported inaccuracies re: military protocol.
