Book Review: really disappointed
Summary: 1 Stars
I've read all the other books and this series and was always on the edge of my seat. I'd be up until the middle of the night saying alright just one more chapter to find I had actually read 4 or 5.
This book .... oh dear lord this book was a pain to read. I should have known something was wrong with it once I noticed how tiny it was. The first couple of chapters where alright though I thought it was really odd that the flock was going to Antarctica for an science expedition. I mean really? These kids are fighting for their lives being hunted all the time and Max in her infinite wisdom and wanting to do whats best for her family decides going to the coldest continent on the earth where if they are found can not fly away because of the cold. And not only that I thought Max was really against depending on others for help because of everything that had happened to her but she's all hunky doorie with being in a boat and small bases with people she doesn't even know. The readers are supposed to accept this! The characters don't even feel the same through this book they've lost their personalities and drive. And after all that we get a blatant message how pollution is bad blah blah blah global warming will kill us all. I mean yea it's bad but you don't have to lecture us about it then rub our noises in it. and the mad man behind of it in this book REALLY!! he was the most freakin lame villain in any book I've ever laid my hands on. This does NOT deserve to be in the series!! it's a waste of time and money! there is no development no real plot. IT'S A SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!! Mr. Patterson should be ashamed with this one. He deceived his readers he knew the fans of this series would buy it. But I love his books so I'm going to give the next one in the series a shot. Though if it's as disappointing as this one I'm giving up.
