Book Reviews of The Five Love Languages of ChildrenBook Review: Children Love Languages Summary: 5 Stars
I wish that this book would be given along with the Highschool diploma, Wedding License, College entrance, Church, etc. I believe that a parent-to-be or teacher MUST make the commitment to EVERY child they nurture to GET the CLUE about what all individuals NEED in order to know what love truly is. This book has changed the family dynamics of my 3 generations of Family. So obvious now why my "beyond dysfunctional" family has new hope!Thankyou! Everybody-learn the 5 Love-Languages! Jamie
Book Review: Good concepts... Summary: 4 Stars
Overall good book. Repetitive style somewhat difficult to get through in spots. The "love language" concepts and how to apply them make sense and plenty of examples are given; unfortunately, the examples don't always translate well from one "language" to another. I also didn't like the "Anger and Love" chapter: the "Anger Ladder" was as clear as mud and seemed to be simply a pitch for the co-author's book.
Book Review: Save your Child Summary: 5 Stars
Oh my goodness!! Every parent should have this book. I am seeing the principles in this book work with our son. And as I share the principles with other parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. They are seeing their relationships with the children in their life change. I only wish that my parents would have had this book, while I was growing up. It would have answered so many of my behavior issues as a child. Thank God for this book.
Book Review: Speak the Language! Summary: 4 Stars
This was an excellent work by the authors and though I did not agree with everything I read, this was an extremely helpful book. The premise is that everyone responds to (at least) one of the five languages: Acts of Service, Gifts, Quality Time, Words of Affirmation and Physical Touch. This book will help parents determine their children's love language and will also help them know how to use that language to express love to their children.
Book Review: very helpful and simple to use Summary: 5 Stars
In some ways, we people are different, but in other ways we share a few common denominators. Our ways as human beings begin with five basic things we find important. We each hold them in a particular order of importance and live out our lives proving it. Very insightful and helpful to parents and their children, everyone should know these basic truths. Communications both ways open up between our kids and ourselves with this marvelous help.
