Book Reviews of The Front (Win Garano)Book Review: Terrible Summary: 1 Stars
I guess I'm just spoiled by the Dr. Kay Scarpetta series, but this book was so thin on plot, with characters about as flat as a pancake. On the other hand, I really like Isle of Dogs -- which had a sense of humor. This was humorless and colorless.
Come on, Patricia! What happened?
Book Review: Just Not Good Summary: 1 Stars
Bad writing, uninteresting storyline with characters that you don't care about, and no build up or excitement to bring the story to an end. I was disappointed with myself that I even finished the book. Patricia Cornwell should apologize to her fans for releasing this book.
Book Review: Rubbish Summary: 1 Stars
Other reviewers have addressed the weakness of this book (& I feel some have been quite kind!)...nothing ultimately worked in this book, there were one or two promising parts but they came to nothing in the end, completely absurd conclusion.
Book Review: A Weak and Lackadaisical Effort Summary: 1 Stars
Cornwell barely phones this one in. Sure to disappoint any fan expecting a Scarpetta-esque pot boiler. The only real intrigue is why Cornwell thought it was a good idea to publish this.
Book Review: Written the night before its deadline. Summary: 1 Stars
This book starts out shallow and gets thinner and thinner the more you read it. The ending was just hanging on by a thread.
