Book Review: Great Book!
Summary: 5 Stars
My 4 year old grandson (who lives with me) & I watched The Gruffalo movie on TV. He loved it. I tried to find the DVD but found that it doesn't come in the USA format. I then looked for the book. I decided to get the board book so it would last longer. I'm glad I did, it's very sturdy. The story & illustrations in the book are very much like the movie, however there are quite a few missing scenes. I'm sure the book was condensed wouldn't be overly long, but I feel it should have been done anyway. Or maybe the book came first, which is usually the case. Anyway, one scene my grandson really misses is the one from the movie where the mouse walks through the pond & past a spider web. But, the book is still excellent. My grandson likes the rhyming & never fails to fill in the words that I leave out (on purpose). Then we both have to laugh & giggle. He loves the humor in the story & I so do I. We have a great time reading this book, it's a keeper!
