Book Reviews of The Hard Way (Jack Reacher, No. 10Book Review: I LOVE Jack Reacher, but this was easily the worst of the series... Summary: 2 Stars
I don't understand all of the positive reviews. I'm a HUGE Lee Child / Jack Reacher fan, but Hard Way felt like it was written by another author entirely. Very disappointed in this book. But, hey, everybody's due for a bad one in a 13 novel (and going) series. I highly recommend skipping this one. At the very least, PLEASE don't make this your first Lee Child book.
Book Review: BACK TO THE BEST REACHER! Summary: 5 Stars
As a big Reacher fan I struggle to find good books of a similar genre, but if you are the same try the `Soft Target novels by Conrad Jones. They are as good if not better than most. As far as thrillers go this is one of the best Reacher books. The latest Harry Bosch novel Overlook is excellent but too short. Oh well back to looking for a good read again !!
Book Review: Big and bad! Summary: 4 Stars
Jack reacher is big and bad and doesn't take crap from anyone. He also has a heart and a conscience that seem to choose the right thing to do for the right reason. He's far from perfect but he's like a modern cowboy and thinks in a traditional sense. One thing for sure, is you better make him a friend, because you certainly don't want him as your enemy.
Book Review: What an incredible book Summary: 5 Stars
Once you start reading it, you won't be able to set it down. I even got yelled at by my boss for reading the book on company time. I've read it 4 times and each time is like the first time. There is alot of information to process so get ready be blown away. It's awsome. Also, if you missed reading Tino Georgiou's masterpiece--The Fates, go and read it.
Book Review: I liked the short chapters Summary: 4 Stars
They made it a pretty quick read and sometimes it can be tough to get through a Reacher novel; mainly because he spends so much time figuring out distances, times, etc. I understand why he has to do it, but it can bog the story down when he starts figuring all the angles in his head.
But overall, I really enjoyed the book.
