Book Reviews of The Hollow (Sign of Seven Trilogy, Book 2)Book Review: Demons Summary: 3 Stars
Roberts skims the surface of the paranormal in her romantic novel. Ancient myths and legends come to the attention of the main characters as they investigate the recent activity of the resident town demon. Every seven years this black energy becomes active and plays havoc on the lives of the residents of a small town. The main character, a young man now decides that with the help of his friends this is the last time for its sinister acts no matter what the danger is to himself.
Some pagan rituals such as blood letting are incorporated into the plot bringing a supernatural quality to the setting of what is predominately a romantic novel
Book Review: Disappointed Summary: 1 Stars
I was so looking forward to this book and the wait seemed like forever. I did enjoy the first book, but this was soooooo slow. And, it took forever for anything to get going. Yes, we know the two main characters will fall madly, madly in love, but that didn't need 318 pages to happen. The first book had a lot of excitement, this was a romance novel with a bit of spooky-doings -- bit being the keyword. I will wait yet again for the next one to come out -- too long by the way, you forget what happens in the first one. I do love trilogies, but next time will wait and by all three at once. Hope the next one has more pizzaz.
Book Review: Love this new trilogy Summary: 5 Stars
This is a wondeful book. I really enjoy how Mrs. Roberts has written this book. She did not do backgrounds on all of the characters like in many of her books. She reveals details as each of the couples "pair" off. This book is about Fox and Layla. These two really are great people. Very emotional for Layla as Fox has lived with his gifts for 21 years. I really suggest reading this book and the first one. I really enjoyed it, read it one day, just could not put in down. The Hollow (Sign of Seven Trilogy, Book 2)
Book Review: Book two misses Summary: 3 Stars
I'm a huge fan of Nora Roberts but this novel seemed to be missing something. Was it the lack of a hot and steamy relationship? Was it that it took nearly half the book to finally bring Fox and Layla together? I'm not sure, but I've always been attracted to the way Nora could deliver an exciting romantic romp through a steamy world only she could imagine. Nora Roberts usually writes the best trilogies, yet book two lacks must of what we love about her. Which is a shame since book one offered some very nice promises. Another book I'd highly recommend is Sirens by Tin Geo: Sirens: A Novel I absolutely devoured it.
Book Review: Disgraceful Summary: 1 Stars
Being a fan of Roberts from the early days and thinking the woman could do no wrong as far as writing I can't express my disappointment with this latest book. I'm not enthusiastic about futuristics and paranormals, but this is outrageouly disgraceful and downright awful. Another writer may not have gotten this book in print and that is disgraceful as well. Nora seems to be getting along on past performance and name recognition. I think I'm mad at myself for buying the darn thing when the first book was so ridiculous but I'll probably always be a sucker for her early work which I so well enjoyed.
