Book Reviews of The Hundred Dresses

Book Review: Good book for teaching
Summary: 4 Stars

This book is a very good read for parents and children to talk about being nice to others, especially others who are different. It has some big words, but nothing too hard to explain. *Possible Spoiler* The ending is sad, so as a parent or teacher you want to be prepared to explain how things wont always end well. I would also advise reading it before hand so you know what's coming and how to best direct it to the child you are going to read to.

Book Review: The Hundred Dresses
Summary: 5 Stars

A classic good story for girls that reminds us to be gentle with one another and kind to all we encounter. Follows the tale of an underprivileged new girl at school. She is snubbed by the others and only at the end when she has moved away do they discover her tremendous gift. My daughter who is 6 enjoyed me reading it to her and I remember the classic books from years ago. We recently bought it for another friend's birthday.

Book Review: The Hundred Dresses
Summary: 5 Stars

This book gives a terrific insight into the world of girls. Friendship, envy, fitting in, shyness, leading and following as well as cruelty, and even fashion, are all themes that arise. It is so well written that even my six year old understood the life lessons. Wonderful and still going strong after decades!

Book Review: Fabulous Book!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have used this book in my classroom for years. Students, boy and girls alike really like it. It is a great book to implement discussion on teasing, being kind, bullying, etc. A great resource demonstrating how powerful our words and actions are- whether good or bad. I highly recommend this book!
