Book Review: Too Cool!

I forgot this book I was reading at home one day. I was at work and had gotten into the habit of reading during my break. Feeling a bit irritated by not having anything to read, I noticed someone had left this book near my work area. It had to be the property of someone on another shift, because no one I knew claimed it. I kept taking it with me on my breaks every day and at first tried not to move the cool book mark feature and instead hid a piece of paper where I left off. In time I noticed the book mark wasn't moving, so I started using that. After a while people kept making geek comments at me for being so absorbed in it. One day, it "accidentally" came home with me. I didn't really know I was fascinated by history, but apparently, I am. A lot of stuff really blew me away.
I especially loved the foot notes. My husband is now reading it and he's just as absorbed as I was, and he's not an avid reader. I have some kind of a learning disorder, where I have to read things a few times to really understand it. This wasn't that pressing and even when I did have to re-read, it was so interesting that it was enjoyable. I didn't want to miss one word. I bought the other two devotionals and they will have a life long home on my shelves.
If you're interested in history, or you're a bathroom reader, this is a perfect way to learn the fundamentals of American History, without the strain and pain of lengthy boring material. It's also humorous and a bit controversial at times, which keeps it very entertaining.
