Book Reviews of The Killer AngelsBook Review: Not as good as expected Summary: 3 Stars
The reviews were very good, that is why I bought the book. Moved back and forth from scene to scene/character to character too much, not much character development. I didn't feel like I got to know any of them well. I'm reading Gods and Generals now. Much better book.
Book Review: Brilliant historical fiction Summary: 4 Stars
Probably the best book about war I have ever read. The focus on just a few main characters makes the story of the Battle of Gettysburg clear and easy to follow for the casual reader, but the level of detail about those characters should satisfy the history buff as well.
Book Review: killer angels Summary: 4 Stars
an insightful novel based on day one and two of the battle of gettysburg, i prefer the more investigative adaptations from the confederate perspective. this does definitely give us a look at joshua chamberlain... 4.5 out of 5. rich ziegler
Book Review: great read Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great read!! I highly recommend it! It reads like a fiction. Shaara makes you feel like you are there with his first person narrative. I have passed the book around to several friends and they all agree that this book is fabulous!
Book Review: Laymans review Summary: 5 Stars
An excellent book. Well written and captures your interest from cover to cover. I felt like I was there witnessing the battle of Gettysburg.
