The reviews were very good, that is why I bought the book. Moved back and forth from scene to scene/character to character too much, not much character development. I didn't feel like I got to know any of them well. I'm reading Gods and Generals now. Much better book.Book Review: Brilliant historical fiction

Probably the best book about war I have ever read. The focus on just a few main characters makes the story of the Battle of Gettysburg clear and easy to follow for the casual reader, but the level of detail about those characters should satisfy the history buff as well.Book Review: killer angels
