What a touching story between a mother and child! I bought this book for my daughter who was starting Kindergarten. She absolutely loved the story and so did I. I teach preschool and have read this book to my class for years. It seems to calm children's hearts as well as Mommy's hearts. At the end of the story the parents give their children a kiss as do the children kiss their parents. It is a perfect transistion into class time.Book Review: First time in School.

After many recommendations, I bought this book for my daughter who was starting school (K) and having a hard time adjusting. I also got Chester the Raccoon to go with it. She took to both of them right away and it has helped with the transition. I would definitely recommend.
