This book was the most gripping and enthralling book I haveeverread. I loved this book so much! I would tell you every single partif I thought this was a bad book. BUT IT WASN'T! Ann Rinaldi, you are the best writer I have ever read! This is one of my favorite books by you. My most favorite was Wolf By The Ears. Please keep writing more about anything you please! I hope to read your next books as soon as they roll of the presses!
Summary of The Last Silk Dress
High-spirited, beautiful Susan Chilmark, fourteen, vows to do something meaningful to support the Confederacy during the Civil War. Despite the wishes of her mother, Susan and her best friend, Connie, collect silk dresses from all the ladies of Richmond to make a balloon that will be used to spy on the Yankees.But the issues behind the war aren't as obvious as Susan thinks.
