Book Reviews of The Lion & the MouseBook Review: Beautiful childrens book Summary: 4 Stars
The book is very beautiful, it is all pictures. It would be a great book for a younger child. You could talk about the pictures as you go along
On another note, I put the book in my gift drawer without checking it out. Check your book right away. Mine is so out of shape. The front cover on the book won't lay flat. I can't give it as a gift. I also don't enjoy it myself due to the shape of the book. I waited too long and past the date that I could return it. So I am stuck with an out of shape chidrens book. I am 58years old, lol, not much good for me.
Book Review: The Golden Rule Summary: 5 Stars
Breathtaking spreads of watercolor illustrations seamlessly tell the fable of "The Lion and the Mouse" with wordless art. The lion plays with the mouse in its claws, but sets him free, only to be caught in a snare by poachers. The mouse sees fit to set the lion free, gnawing the rope of the trap until the golden cat falls to the ground. Abundant wildlife from the African Serengeti share in the pages of this tale. Children from three to six will treasure the art and story of this beautiful book, as they take on the role of storyteller.
Book Review: Hey, there are no words! Summary: 3 Stars
The book is very pretty, and someone with a big ego decided that this "story" book would be somehow diminished by providing words.
Now some of us can look up the story in Aesops Fables online to fill in the blanks correctly after being annoyed by the discovery of the missing words, but please tell me why.
Stupid concept except for the person with the big ego who made this dumb decision.
I would take a pass on this book, unless you do not read and like to look at pictures.
Book Review: Wow! What a wonderfully illustrated book for children! Summary: 4 Stars
We all know Aesop's story of the Lion and the Mouse. Where the mouse almost gets eaten by the Lion, who decides to let the mouse go. Later the Lion gets stuck in a trap and the mouse saves the Lion. It is important to note that what makes this book different from others you may have read is this book is the beautiful illustrations. It is perfect picture book for a young child. How Jill Learned to Read Using Phonics
Book Review: Great illustration Summary: 4 Stars
The illustrations are great! They got my cousin involved with the story, and I know that most children dont read the words in a book at a young age, but I was a little sad to find out that there were no words except fot the noises of the animals. I wish that it were broadcasted a little better that there are no written words in the book. It would have been nice knowing that he would be able to go back to a book he loved and been able to read. But this is still a great book with a great message!
