Book Review: Wonderful version of this story

The illustrations are gorgeous and they tell the story -- there are almost no words at all in this version of the story. The wordless style really encourages children to think about what is happening and the motivations of both the lion and the mouse. Purchased after recommendation in newspaper. Purchased for great-grandchildren. Artwork supposed to be excellent. Like the book and its presentation but disappointed to find that there was no story attached to read to the child, only the pictures. This colorful book tells the story of how a mouse saved a lion in pictures. The pictures are large and each fills an entire page. There is no text at all which disappointed me because I wanted something for my 3 year old to try to read. I am 65 and often pick of children's books for the little ones in my life. While strolling Macys yesterday afternoon in Chicago I spotted the cover and went right for it. I added and extra copy for me. It is so beautiful! It will "live" amongst my favorites in my bookcase with a key.Book Review: Exquisite!

This book is a fabulous addition to my collection. It is whimsical and engaging! The lion never look so good.
