Book Review: Great Introductory Guide to SAS EG, but latest version is recommended.

No prerequisite knowledge of Base SAS or SAS Enterprise Guide (EG) is required to understand and benefit from The Little SAS Book for EG 4.1. The book uses an imaginary set of data in a step-by-step explanation of common EG functionality. Screenshots accompany the explanation and enhance an already well-written and easy to understand text. This book comes bundled with SAS Learning Edition 4.1 and thus includes the entire sample dataset; however, it can be downloaded from SAS if the book is purchased independently. Even though SAS has released this book for EG 4.2 and is already supporting EG 4.3 for enterprise clients, there is not enough difference in the user interface to render this book obsolete. That said, the latest version, The Little SAS Book for EG 4.2, appears to cover data analysis methods in far more depth. Unless you are already using EG 4.1, the latest version of this book is recommended.
