Book Reviews of The Man Who Ate EverythingBook Review: Delightful read Summary: 5 Stars
From food science to travelogue, this book has it all. Just a delightful read about food, cooking, cuisine without the snobby attitude. In fact, it's quite funny, witty, and candid. And it's broken into essays so you can pick it up and put it down when you need to, although I guarantee you won't put it down often! Super!
Book Review: Hilarious and smart, a great read for anyone who eats! Summary: 5 Stars
Savor each delightful essay like a chocolate (or a serving of Wagyu, as the author would!). Steingarten is not only entertaining, but informative about all kinds of food--from ketchup and fries to cuisine you didn't even know existed. The writing is intelligent and stylish; it's no wonder this man works for Vogue magazine.
Book Review: Food for thought Summary: 5 Stars
This book is thoroughly well written combination of humor, recipes, and personal anecdotes about coooking and food in general. I enjoyed reading every single page, and learned quite a bit along the way. The information is a bit dated, but the insight and wit are ageless. I would definitely recommend purchasing this book.
Book Review: Brilliant, witty, droll, entertaining ..... Summary: 5 Stars
I kept hearing the title when the author was introduced on the TV series "The Next Iron Chef" so looked at the reviews here and ordered it.
I can't add much to the existing reviews except to add that it doesn't matter whether or not you care about food; this is a very entertaining book by any standards.
Book Review: A Great Read About Food Summary: 5 Stars
If you're into food, Jeffrey Steingarten's book is both informative and entertaining. Each chapter opens doors to entirely different areas about food with loads of useful and interesting facts. It's a must read for anyone, who likes to understand what they are either cooking or eating.
