Book Review: The Name of this Book is Secret

This book is about a big secret, yet you never get to know what the secret is. I thought I'd get that out of the way first. The narrator does not want to give you many details of the characters and locations in the book, again, because it's a secret. The narrator can't tell you plenty of things, but they sure go on and on about what they can't tell you. I think the narrator is supposed to be amusing and endearing, but I think the novel would have been just fine without that particular gimmick. In and of itself the story is entertaining. There is plenty of mystery, action, code breaking, and excitement. There are even scary moments. The Name of this Book is Secret is a fun easy read with the added entertainment of a quirky narrator. I certainly want to know what the secret is, and I will continue the series, not to find out, but because this book was entertaining. These are type the children's books that I love, a short fun escape from reality.Book Review: I like that it's different then every other book!

I picked this book up at Barnes and Noble thinking I'd give it a shot. However you spell the authors' name did a great job! As my title stated that I like this because it's different refers to this:
-It has a unique different story that blends into a well-made myserty
- Has Footnotes
- Has a different feel to it, such as the narrator an unknown guy who tells the story of Max-Ernest and Cassandra(a.k.a. CASS)
I liked this book well enough to want to read book 2, as a SPOILER Here: IT does end, but you can tell that the story will continue, so If you liked this book well enough I'd advise you to Read book 2 Called "IF YOU ARE READING THIS IT'S TOO LATE".
Well written book by Pysoddeous(however you speel it, I don't remember) Bosch, for who from now on I will call Mr Bosch:)

Book Review: Fun, engaging, and fantastically clever!

I absolutely loved this book! It is written in such a clever way, with a smarmy yet charming narrator consistently warning the reader to 'turn back,' and to 'read no further.' The story of Cass and Max-Ernest and the 'secret' they unearth is a wonderful mystery and adventure story, full of suspense, humor, and smart dialogue. I thought the two main characters (Cass and Max-Ernest) were so well-written and likeable...I love stories where the kids get to be heroes! This book will appeal to both boys and girls (another reason why I love this one so much!), ages 9 to 12. But adults will have fun with it too. The book is completely engaging from start to finish and I am so glad it was recommended to me! I highly recommend this one to older children and adults looking for a fun adventure/mystery. You will not be disappointed!Book Review: Entertaining, but not worth it

This book creates a story that completely captures the reader and wants to make him/her keep reading on. However, there were several things about it that I really disliked. The biggest problem I had with the book was that it promoted lying and scheming if it was for a good cause. SInce this book is aimed at children, lying and scheming are not things I think he should be promoting. Another thing I found really annoying about the book was the way the narrator was always making comments about how he could not tell his story to anyone, but then he would tell the story anyways. Some people may find this style entertaining and cute, but I found it incredibly annoying and frustrating. I would not recommend this book because though the story was entertaining, the negatives that come along with it overpower it.Book Review: Awesome Book of Secrets

I am 11 and love mystery series. I have read a series similar to this, called A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket and think that it might be the same author as this book. No one can tell for sure, because in The Name of This Book is Secret Bosch refuses to give his identity and his secrets. In this book, our two characters are Cass and Max Ernest. They soon meet their arch enemies Doctor L and Mrs Mauvais, after looking for clues in an underground house. There Cass and Max Ernest find a magician's notebook...and you have to read the rest. At some points this book is funny and at others it's serious and sometimes it's even scary. If you like mystery series or fantasy series or you have read A Series of Unfortunate Events or other similar books, I guarantee you will love this one! ^..^
