Book Review: Love it!!
Summary: 5 Stars
First....I had pre-ordered this book on Jan 12th 2011. Originally was due to be released in the middle of febuary. I had contacted Amazon as to why I hadn't received the book yet and they had said they were having a hard time locating the book. When they did recieve more info they would get back to me asap. Amazon offered me free shipping and an upgrade over night shipping due to the delay. I thought that was just wonderful of them.
While waiting to hear back from Amazon as to when the book would be released,I contacted the author directly via email. Norene had explained that she had a death in the family as well as a few other issues and had anticipated the release in the middle of March.
The Author, Norene was warm friendly and very generous with her time in the several emails we exchanged back and forth. Norene also offered to send me an autographed label for my book upon arrival. As promised I did receive the label as well as some informational material for her other books as well as a few additional recipes ( Thank you Norene)
The book was released March 15th or 16th I received it March 12th!!! LOVE LOVE Amazon!!
Many people have complained about this book being Kosher. I'm not Jewish and find the book to be chuck full of info and recipes for everyone. It's a huge book with many many recipes not just Kosher or even "Jewish recipes" That being said even with the Jewish recipes I'm thrilled to have them as well/ Who doesn't love matzo ball soup,potato latke's and the like!! I highly recommend this book to anyone with a Fp ....truly priceless.
I have had my FP for years now and never realized just how many things I can make with it. I do use my Fp a lot and wow not nearly as much as I realized I could be after reading this book. Anything that makes my life a bit easier in the kitchen..win win. Should be included in every purchase of a fp!
The amount of recipes huge but also the helpful tips, tricks,variations,guides unbelivable!!
Lastly...While waiting to hear back from Amazon I had gone to Barnes and Noble to see if they had the book. The had the prior edition and were asking just under $30 for it!!! Amazon has the new revised for just under $16!!!! Huge difference. For the price of this book on Amazon and really just how big it is.. something like 528 pages not including index...how can you beat it. You get a lot for your money.
This won't be a cookbook that just collects dust..How many cookbooks can you say that about????
