Book Review: Very sturdy binding takes a lot of hard use
Summary: 5 Stars

Our family uses every get together as an excuse to play Scrabble and there are those of us who have computer Scrabble in order to practice between matches. This is the official version, but what is best about this paperback is that it has a very sturdy binding and can take the heavy use it gets in our competitive family. We bought this edition to replace our previous edition, which was not as well made and was falling apart. This book has held up well and is well worth the money to settle those Scrabble disputes.

Book Review: Is That REALLY a Word???
Summary: 4 Stars

This book is a must for SCRABBLE enthusiasts. Nothing adds to the excitement of a game like the challenge: "I don't believe that's a word!" Whipping out this official dictionary settles it once and for all. You'll have fun building your vocabulary and finding new ways to play those hard-to-use letters. CAUTION: if small print stops you in your tracks, keep the magnifying glass at hand. Other than that, this book is perfect, P-E-R-F-E-C-T. Use all seven tiles and BINGO - you get an extra fifty points!

Book Review: great book as always
Summary: 5 Stars

If you plan on buying this as a spare and keeping your old edition, rethink it. Many new words that aren't in the 3rd addition. So if you allow dictionary searches as we do, use just one edition. I thought it would be neat to play with two books since we all like to keep looking up words during play. But when the books aren't identical its a little annoying. So chuck version 3 and get the 4th edition! My only problem has been there are some words in here that PC scrabble doesn't recognize.

Book Review: Scrabble?
Summary: 4 Stars

My wife (American) and I (British) find it invaluable to have two dictionaries - one British English and the other a 'cheaters guide' to incorrect spelling! Seriously, we do find that we often refer to our respective dictionaries for words that are less well known.

Wife's review: You wouldn't believe the 'cheater' words that are in that limey dictionary. "Owt"? "Nowt"? Puh-leeez. Seriously, we do learn a lot from both dictionaries. Might call them "marital aids." :-)
