Hank the Cowdog is a series that everyone should have the pleasure of reading. This series of funny and entertaining books about Hank, the head of ranch security, keeps readers of all ages laughing with enjoyment. These books teach a broad example of everyday values. One of the best parts the series is that it's portable. John Erickson's voice can be heard on CD so everyone can enjoy a good story while on a road trip.Book Review: I don't really know what to rate this book

I would have liked this book if I had read it when I were say 5. My English teacher read it to my 7th grade class and even though it was a really funny book I thought that it was too young for thirteen year olds.
Now...I didn't have anything agianst the book because I thought that it was a good book. I'm just saying that as a 7th grader it wasn't the best but for younger kids it is perfect.

It's about a school that was supposed to be 1 story high, and 30 classes. Instead it's 30 story's high, and 1 class room on each story. Each chapter is about a different person. It all takes place in a school. This is a hilarious book!!! I enjoyed it a lot. Some of my favorite charters are Bebe, Maurecia,& Louis.

It is a great book to give the dog/animal lover who hasn't discovered the joy of reading. I have just witnessed the remarkable transformation of a reluctant reader into an eager consumer of the written word by this series.
It also is a great read in the car for that long road trip. My graying husband (a grandfather of six)enjoyed it even without a child in the car.

This story by John R. Erickson is about a dog named Hank. Hank lives on a old ranch.Hank eats a dead chicken, and gets blamed for killing it. Then Hank runs away, and meets sneaky coyotes. More trouble is about to happen!I really think you should read this book because the dogs are funny. They remind me of my dog, who is a total space case.I liked this book,you will,too!
