Book Reviews of The Pocket ParentBook Review: Parenting, not problem solving Summary: 3 Stars
This is a book of parenting advice, not problem solving advice. I was looking for creative ideas for how to keep my toddler from screaming when I wash his hair, or, as another reviewer noted, how to get him to quit picking his nose. I think most people who would be interested in this book are beyond the diaper bag stage, and I don't know in whose pocket it would fit. The book does contain good advice about setting limits, respecting the child, and modeling appropriate behavior - pretty standard stuff for 21st century parents. I will use it as a reference book, but you won't see me whipping it out in the middle of Wal-Mart.
Book Review: A-Z Sanity Exclusively for Parents of 2- to 5-year-olds Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great book that has really helped me get more cooperation from my 4-year-old...the FIRST time I ask. I totally appreciated the author's humor! I love the size of the book and quick read format ...perfect to take with, always ready to give me a tip to try and at the same time a reassuring 'verbal hug' that no parent or child is perfect. Great gift for any mother or father of a 2- to 5-year-old that can use some sanity!! Just look it up...ANGER, BEDTIME, BITING, BAD WORDS, GIMMES, I HATE YOU'S, INTERRUPTING, LYING, MORNING CRAZIES, SIBLING RIVALRY, TANTRUMS, AND MUCH MORE!
Book Review: Wish I got it when I had my first born:) Summary: 5 Stars
I love this book:) I wish I have it when I had my first born although he is 5 now but I am encouraged to buy this book after noticing that my second child is strong will and stubborn than her brother, all my strategies with my eldest won't work on her so I desperately need help. Thank goodness with this book it saves my sanity! I like that you don't need to read it from the beginning to end instead you can just look at the topic you need, most likely work like a dictionary but with really useful advise and example. I highly recommend this book, a must for every mother or parents.
Book Review: practical tips and funny stories Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great resource that should be on every parents' shelf! It offers down-to-earth, sensible tips for dealing with a multitude of common parenting dilemmas, but my favorite parts are the funny stories. Being a parent is a hard job, but it's easier if we keep a sense of humor and relish the ridiculous situations that inevitably occur with kids. It's also reassuring to know that the authors have 'been there!' I highly recommend this book.

Book Review: Great Advice! Summary: 4 Stars
Being a first time mom of a now 2 year old, I wanted to make sure I have everything possible to help me be the best mom I can for my son! This book is really great! It's written by real people who have truly been there! You will laugh and you will realize that no book can raise a child, but THIS book really can help you when you need that extra guidance at the time you are at your wits end! It's a very reasonable price; which at first made me think it wouldn't be good. I was wrong. They made it afforadable to ensure everyone can get their own copy! I highly recommend it!
