Book Reviews of The Pocket ParentBook Review: Best Book on Parenting I've Ever Read! Summary: 5 Stars
"Parenting can be a long, lonely road on those days when you're quite sure that no parent has ever gone through what you're going through. 'The Pocket Parent' gives you support and humor, in kind and caring suggestions and stories, to help you find your way. It doesn't preach. Instead, it points to options we may not have tried. As the father of three young children, I knew the moment I picked it up that it would be dog-eared and highlighted in a matter of days. 'The Pocket Parent' is simply the best book on parenting that I've ever read.''
Book Review: The Pocket Parent - Very Helpful Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased The Pocket Parent when my son was 2 years old. I am still referring to it now that he is 4. It is perfect for a busy parent because it is a quick guide to great discipline ideas. It targets a lot behavior your child may go through - like sibling rivalry, bad words, friendships, manners, interrupting, lying, power struggles and more. Saying the same "mommy commands" can fall on deaf ears. This has givin me alternative ways to get the behavior I desire while sending positive messages to my children.
Book Review: Everything about parenting....always in-reach. Summary: 5 Stars
I have never seen a book quite like this...informative, sincere, and most of all, portable, USABLE information! Its like having the old "What to Expect when You're Expecting" which I just loved, but for my 3 year old! The best part of it all is that it can easily fit in my purse. I show it to my friends, they all want one! I wish this was available on a palm computer...bet it would be a great seller! Thanks, Gail and Caroline, you have a WINNER! Best of luck...Wendy Rider, Atlanta GA
Book Review: Pretty good little tool! Summary: 4 Stars
This book has a nice and easy way to reference things that you need help with when dealing with child issues. It lists the issue, then tells you a few different ways of handeling it. I already do a lot of the actions listed in the book, but there are a few new suggestions that help me look at the circumstance differently. Some work, some don't. But overall, the book is very good for a quick reference and also makes you feel like you're not ALONE!! :)
I recommend it!
Book Review: A Saving Grace for This Mom of Two! Summary: 5 Stars
With my daughter in her oh so terrible two's and a new baby boy to care for, I needed something that could give me quick, easy insight on how to handle my daughter and all her little issues. The Pocket Parent gives me some of the best techniques and coping mechanisms from parents who actually have tested and employed them. I recommend this book to just about everyone-Moms, Dads, Grandparents, etc. Thank you Caroline! How about a video series next?
