Book Review: Interesting story, good lesson

We substituted my son's name for the main character's name to make the story more relevant to him. We read this almost every night, mostly at my son's request. We're still in the very early stages of potty training, but this book has allowed us to talk more about the experience and more consistently and constantly reference using the potty. Just the increase in talking about potty training has been helpful for motivating him.Book Review: Not bad, but not really good either.

I agree with another reviewer -- this book is OK, but it doesn't really seem to help my child feel more comfortable about what is supposed to happen with the toilet. Most of the book is devoted to the character's failures, not success. And having a whole page to guessing what the potty could be for (a fish bowl?) is just not helpful.
I would recommend "Sesame Beginnings: Potty Time!" over this book.
Book Review: A big hit with our 19-month old

We bought this when our 19-month old started expressing interest in the potty, and it was immediately a big hit. He's a little too young to really get potty trained, but he always asks for "Henry," (the protagonist's name) when he wants to try again. He wants to be like the boy in the book. For adults, it's not too boring a read, and the pictures are adorable. I recommend it highly.Book Review: A GREAT INTRODUCTION TO POTTY TRAINING

I BOUNGT MY GRANDSON THE FISHER PRICE POTTY BUDDY AND ENCLUDED THIS BOOK WITH THE PURCHASE. I DECIDED GIVING A FEW BOOKS ON THE SUBJECT ALONG WITH THE CHAIR WILL HELP HIM UNDERSTAND WHAT A POTTY IS FOR. HE LOVES BEING READ TO AND SEEING THIS BOOK IS MADE OF STURDY 'CARDBOARD', IT'LL LAST. I REALLY THINK THE BOOK HELPED HIM UNDERSTAND A LITTLE MORE THAN JUST SHOWING HIM OURSELVES.Book Review: Great!!!

My son just loves this book, can really identify with the story. The words all ryhme so it keeps little ones entertained to the end. Definitely recommend! And if you want the potty training to be fun and smooth, then I recommend this book Fun and Stress Free Potty Training Techniques
