Book Reviews of The Potty Book - For Girls

Book Review: Very cute story
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the boy version of this book for my son when he was potty training. I read it so many times that I had to buy the girl version for my daughter. It's a cute story and I like the rhythm. I'm just now introducing my daughter to the idea of potty training. She's still a little young to fully understand it, but she does like reading this book.
I also like the part in the book about calling Grandma with the news of a successful trip to the potty. The first time my son used his potty, he told me we need to call Grandma. So we did.

Book Review: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU INTRODUCE THIS
Summary: 3 Stars

Our 2 year old was quite comfortable using the potty to pee. When a friend recommended this book to us and in order to move to the next stage we bought it. Error on our part. Our daughter who had never had "an accident" and knew that she needed to pee in the toilet said that it was okay to pee on the floor as Hannah did.

We now skip that page but have to say sadly that we believe this book has pushed us backwards.

If your child is already using the toilet occasionally then this book might not be the one for you.

Book Review: very nice birthday gift!...
Summary: 4 Stars

This book was a gift to my daughter from her aunt on her first birthday and it did become very handy. She loves it when we read her bedtime stories and believe it or not The potty Book is one of them. So potty training just came so naturally when she turned 2 1/2. My daughter loves the illustrations and it's very understandable for any 2 year old that she wants to read it over and over that my husband and I know it by heart already.
Would not be a bad idea as a gift substitute for toddlers instead of toys......

Book Review: Not for Early Potty Training
Summary: 3 Stars

This book has great pictures and a good story, but my 21 month old was fascinated with the "uh oh" page. She completely understood that an accident could be outside of the potty and proceeded to have on purpose "uh ohs" like the book said. Day 3 we only read one potty book with no accidents and now on day 5, we have had two accident free days. I think an older toddler would understand more that it is saying accidents are okay if they happen, but my toddler sees things in black & white so it was no good for us.

Book Review: Practically the sole reason my daughter potty-trained!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this book on a whim as we started the PT-process, mainly because it was cheap. Little could I have known it would be the leading help in my daughter getting the idea! She loved the book, loved that Hannah was independent with some things and learning some things (just like her), and sometimes had accidents while learning, also just like her. We read it so many times my daughter memorized it, and even though she's been potty-trained for nearly a year now, it's still one of her favorites!
