Book Reviews of The Purrfect Murder (Mrs. Murphy Mysteries)Book Review: Phony Feminism Summary: 2 Stars
I agree by and large with the other reviews.
What really irritated me, though, was that the books is set out to be so feminist (i.e. apparently pro-abortion). Yet at the end we get the the classic female in danger. Without giving anything away, the now 40-year-old Harry puts herself in danger with incredible stupidity, with no back up arranged--then is saved partly (of course) by the animals, but mostly by her 6-foot-5 husband.
I think I'll pull out an old VI Warshawski.
Book Review: Impurrfect Murder Summary: 1 Stars
How very disappointing, another great series that has completely lost it. The older books in the series made you feel as though you were a part of the town and a part of all of the character's lives. "The Purrfect Murder" felt like the author couldn't wait to finish it, and neither could I. The plot was weak, the characters shallow, our heroine turned totally stupid, and there was not enough of the animals. I'm not sure that I will waste money on the next book.
Book Review: The devil's in the details. Summary: 3 Stars
Aside from the preaching, I found the errors in the book to be so glaringly obvious that they were distracting (not to mention repeated over and over). I very strongly suggest that Ms. Brown research more carefully in the future, starting with the difference between veins and arteries and carotid artery v. jugular vein.
Sadly, I'm finding this more and more commonly among mystery authors or their editors.

The Purrfect Murder (A Mrs. Murphy Mystery)
As always, Rita Mae Brown has created believable situations involving amusing characters of many species. She and Sneak Pie just keep getting better and better and better.
Book Review: The Purrfect Murder (A Mrs. Murphy Mystery) Summary: 4 Stars
As usual Ms. Brown has again written a great book. Fun to read and holds your interest. Having read most of the books she has written The Purrfect Murder was entertaining as the others of this series. Recommend for fans of Rita Mae Brown and Mrs. Murphy.
