Overall, Chris Gardner's life-story thus far has been lived so purposefully. And although he talks about the powerlessness he felt as a child - he found the secret of power - and in his book "The Pursuit of HappYness" he so generously shares that power by revealing the secret.
Reading TPH was like being in a hurry as you run up to your father, favorite uncle, or wise older brother and say, "Quick! Tell me how do I make a million bucks?! Hurry, hurry hurry!!!" And their response is to take you by the hand, sit you down in their most comfortable chair, cross their leg, light their cigar and in their own unrushed time, start out by saying, "Well you know, way back when I was a child..."
But if you are patient and listen you will gain MUCH more than you were initially after.
Always looking for ways to improve myself, Chris Gardner reveals that the power is in each and every one of us, but only we can harness our own power.
He shows us how HE did it!
