Book Reviews of The Red Book (Caldecott Honor Book)Book Review: Kids love to tell the story Summary: 5 Stars
This book is for younger kids than David Weisner's so although it's not as beautiful as Weisner's picture books, my kids (5 & 4) can understand the story better. I have them tell me what's going on as we look at the pictures, and this has become one of their favorites.
Book Review: Quality picture book Summary: 5 Stars
I am very picky about children's books. I like this one because it opens up my son's imagination to think about what is going on in the story (since it has no words). He is 5 1/2 and enjoys this book.
Book Review: Great Red Book!!! Summary: 5 Stars
As a student-teacher I choose this book to write a lesson. There is so much you can teach with this. Comprehension, drama, writing, vocabulary yes, and of course, lets children use their imagination.
Book Review: Wonderful. A must. Summary: 5 Stars
Along with Zoom by Istvan Banyai, among the finest wordless storytelling I have seen. Simple enough for a five-year-old; haunting for anyone. Beautifully conceived and executed.
Book Review: this won a Caldecott? Summary: 3 Stars
ainnuthin seriously wrong or right about this empty book. its wordless drift might stir some toddlers to thoughts of their own -- but then again, so might the wind.
