Book Reviews of The ShopkeeperBook Review: Steve Dancy is More Than a Gunslinger! Summary: 5 Stars
The Shopekeeper was a terrific read. Best does a great job of slowly revealing Steve Dancy's talents - both with the gun and with his wits, making this book more than a typical gunslinging western. The plot takes a path that is unexpected, leading us to a finish that is both expected and somewhat surprising. By combining history, wild-west adventure, and city-groomed toughness, Best has created a story that is fun and exciting to follow.
Book Review: A really fun read Summary: 5 Stars
I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters are so well described that images of them jump out at you from the pages. The story holds your interest, is clearly written and moves along. I liked the short Chapters (just 3 to 5 pages each). That allows for reading in those short periods during the day when one can fit in a small amount of reading. I recommend this book to anyone who likes stories about the Old West.
Book Review: Western Saga for the ages Summary: 5 Stars
Great read fast paced and full of smoking action. The author owes me a few hours of sleep. I could not put this book down, couldn't wait to open it. Sorry to have gotten to the end. Well established charactors, despicable villian. Steve Dancy is an East coast city slicker gunslinging tycoon taming the West "Awesome". Brilliant hero

Book Review: Great Read Summary: 5 Stars
I can't say that I'm big reader of the Western genre. I'm more of a fan of historical fiction. But this title caught my eye after browsing on Amazon. I have to say that I loved this book. It is a very entertaining read. Well written. I never write reviews, but wanted to endorse this one. I've already purchased Jim Best's sequel "Leadville."
