I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because I found this book a bit confusing. When I took the test, the skin type was incorrect. I discovered this by reading the descriptions of all oily types and discovered that I was actually a different type than the test showed. It's not so cut and dried as one would think. Oily skin is a bit more complicated than dry skin. IMO anyway.Book Review: Great skin care info!

I've read a lot of skin care books, but this one taught me a few new things. It was fun to determine which skin type I had, even though it turned out I had the worst one (acne-prone and wrinkle-prone), but at least there's a lot I can do to work with my skin to make it better. This book is precise and gives great information about skin care. It gives you a quiz to figure out your skin type, then tells you what products to buy. It gives lots of options, from drugstore prices to department store. This gets down to the details, where other skin care books just scratch the surface. Dr. Baumann did a great job on this book!Book Review: Great concept

The concept was great, but alas, every concept has it's flaws. There is no quick fix to any problem. I tried all her suggestions for products and broke out like a teenager! Also, web site support is poor and products don't match what is in the book. Can't even get a response from the e mails I sent asking questions.Book Review: a must-have skin care book

I found this book very informative. I wish my dermatologist had a questionnaire, it would have saved me a lot of money (wasted in buying products not right for my skin) and many trips to repeat derm appts. because of a med not being correct for my skin. I learned more from this book than any other!
