Book Reviews of The Sneetches and Other StoriesBook Review: I love Sneetches! Summary: 5 Stars
One of my favorite, if not my VERY favorite Dr. Seuss book! How those Sneetches learn that we are all alike! Well written book, but then again, all Dr. Seuss books are well written! I have to be honest, I own this book for the Sneetches, I don't read the other stories... but, you'll like them too! Any Dr. Seuss book is a wonderful book to collect for yourself, your child, or your classroom.
Book Review: Sneetches-The Book to Read Summary: 5 Stars
This book is fantastic. My daughter age ,11 took the book to school and her teacher created an assignment around it. The lesson was about class and race and that everyone is the same. What a way to teach children about discrimination and segragation in a simple fashion and fair treatment! This book deserves 10 stars. I would reccommend this book for any age group from 5 and older.
Book Review: This kind of Sneeth may be the best on the beaches... Summary: 5 Stars
We bought a copy of this book for our two year old. We read it to him each night at his request. We recently bought three more copies, one for each grandparents' home and one as a backup for us (it gets read that often). There is nothing I can say about Dr. Seuss that hasn't already been said better. They are the most recognizable for a very good reason - they are very good.
Book Review: Sneetches by Dr.Seuss Summary: 5 Stars
The Sneetches should be required reading for all members of Congress. Replace the stars with R's and D's. Mr. McBean saw an opportunity and bailed when it was no longer profitable. Oh yes, kids love it and parents never tire of reading it. The illustrations are wonderful. As the mother of 5 and grandmother of 10 I have purchased this book for them all and give it as gifts.
Book Review: Wonderful collection! Summary: 5 Stars
I'm 25 years old, and I can still recite almost all of the text in this book from memory of my own childhood. The Sneetches, the Zax, Mrs. McCave who had twenty-three sons (and named them all Dave), and of course the pale green pants with nobody inside them, taught me about the problems of snobbishness, stubbornness, fear without me ever noticing or minding.
