Lisa Lundy has helped my family and I transition through a very challenging time. I love to be creative in the kitchen--preparing wholesome, nutritious meals with many different herbs and spices to keep things fun and interesting. I have needed to significantly change the way I do things in the kitchen since we recently discovered that our daughter has many food allergies. Since many of her favorite foods have now been eliminated from her diet, I have been called to duty in a way I never have. I was feeling very overwhelmed and unsure of how to move forward, as I was unable to prepare foods with many of the common ingredients used in cooking/baking, i.e. eggs, wheat, gluten, dairy, soy, tree nut, and many herbs/spices. The Super Allergy Girl Cookbook has changed our lives, as it's filled with recipes for people dealing with multiple food allergies/sensitivities like we are, and has come up with fantastic, brilliant, and delicious recipes for the discriminating palates like ours. Most are simple and require very little time to prepare (thank you Lisa!!), and if by chance you are stuck with anything as you learn how to bake with gluten-free flours, Lisa is just a phone call away--for real! She actually answered the phone when I called her for the first time, and we chatted for over 30 minutes. She gave me suggestions I had not thought of for how to make this new journey possible when away from home. I was so impressed and moved that she cared enough to spend that time on the phone with me. I hung up feeling inspired and encouraged, and she has been available to me via phone and email since (I am someone who asks alot of questions). She is committed to other people being successful as they too transition to a new way of being in the kitchen. What an amazing person...caring, loving, kind, and BRILLIANT! Do not hesitate to get this book if you are dealing with multiple food allergies/sensitivities and looking for yummy recipes that you can make at home. You won't regret it, and it will keep your costs down as well, because let's face it...the typical wheat-free, egg-free, gluten-free foods out there are not cheap!
