Book Review: Was really hoping for better!
Summary: 2 Stars

I had so many issues with this book, despite Ms. Hoffman's enjoyable and sometimes lovely prose. The three stories, while completely related, never resolved! The ending was rather sudden and unsatisfying. The sister, Maddie, in the first "novella" was a completely unlikeable character and seemed to serve no purpose whatsoever. The rock musician character... okay... I had the sense that the author had absolutely no idea what she was talking about, narcotics-wise. Again, not a terribly likeable fellow. And if he was such a rock god, where was his guitar? We got to know the rest of his wardrobe intimately -- and yet. No guitar.

I enjoyed the relationships between fathers and daughters, but ultimately, this book went nowhere, and I would not recommend it.
