Book Reviews of The Transformation GameBook Review: Uncanny opportunity to heal yourself..workshop in a box! Summary: 5 Stars
I play this game almost daily, just for the insights. I often play it alone, if there is no one around who wants to play, because it helps me clear issues quickly. Its the best self therapy I know. (Its not set up for one player, but is easily adaptable to it). I have referred many people to the game and they all love it! Even my husband, who is not "New Age" at all has enjoyed it.. You choose a personal focus..something you want to explore every time you play and its uncanny how accurately it really shows your shadow, unresolved stuff, ego blocks, etc. You also get lots of positive strokes from the Angels and Universe! The thing is beyond amazing! I am a professional intuitive and this is the best tool I know for "self-reading" other than direct meditation! If you're on a growth path, you won't regret this purchase. Cheaper than therapy and possibly better!
Book Review: Good Intentions... Summary: 2 Stars
It's become a tradition with a friend of mine to meet on our birthdays each year. We read each others (tarot and other) cards and it gives us a chance reflect on the past year - our experiences, lessons learned, future plans. The cards often provide additional insight. I thought the Transformation Game might provide the same kind of feedback and give us both more a chance to participate; but the game was tedious, the directions unclear and some of the game feedback was not very positive. (One feedback was along the lines of "you haven't handled anger well, take 5 pain cards). I can see the intentions of the game and how it might work under some circumstances. But I think we'll stick with cards from now on. They are more specific, insightful and positive. Also cheaper.
Book Review: No Less than Amazing... Summary: 5 Stars
...this "game" is actually more of an experiential module that guides one through the change process no matter what the issue at hand. After playing it for the first time, I felt closer to my life partner than ever - we shared so many small but intimate details that previously had been suppressed or thought not important enough to share. We were both left emotionally exhausted but content and at peace after 4-1/2 hours of play. This game helped me to harness all of the knowledge and coping tools I brought into it and to blend and use them as powerful forces of action and insight. I would recommend this to ANYONE who feels a need for deeper self-understanding. Just make sure you have a large block of uninterrupted time before you begin!
Book Review: Superb! Summary: 5 Stars
My sister gave us this game-- I had never heard of it before. My husband and I played it last night and it was fabulous. I don't think I would play this game with people I did not know well or who were not open to this concept as the strucuture of the game is terrific, but the experience you have depends largely on your personal involvement. If you stand back and expect the game to "do its magic" on you-- you will likely be disappointed. Instead, it is all about the interaction and participation-- reflecting and responding and sharing insights.
I can't wait to play it again and really want to try it with 4 people next time. Highly recommended.
Book Review: A Spiritual reminder.... Summary: 4 Stars
A game that I first met in the early nineties....interesting then and, again. I searched and, found the game at about the same price as the first....inflation proof? Of course, is personal growth to be purchased? This game touches on personal desire to be more of the real what/who one is.
I find the 'serendipitous' flow of the game to be a subtle acknowledgement of personal energies that all beings share. Metaphysical parts of this whole universe we inhabit and, consequently, create.
Being mindful is part of the exercise in this game...practice in conscious paradigm shift?
Decide for yourself.
