Book Reviews of The Whole Beast: Nose to Tail EatingBook Review: fantastic Summary: 4 Stars
After having the most fantastic meal at St. John, I was compelled to buy the book. Although some of the recipies may seem a bit strange, there certianly are enough recipies that the adventurous home cook can try. I'm really looking forward to trying the "Roast Bone Marrow and Parsley Salad".
Book Review: Extraordinary Book Extraordinary Chef Summary: 5 Stars
This book is centuries behind its time and years ahead of its time-a great book for anyone who cares about food, cooking or eating. Thank God for Henderson's work and craft. He's a marvel. More people in the United States ought to be familiar with his work. I hope this book is just the beginning.
Book Review: WAY COOL! Summary: 5 Stars
Lots of interesting recipes for unusual ingredients, such as pig's ear, lamb's tongues, eel, skate, I could go on. Also some good looking ones for things I might actually try to cook! Great fun just to go through, and intro is by Anthony Bourdain. What more could you want?
Book Review: food 4 thought Summary: 5 Stars
i seldom cook but enjoy a wide variety of food types and styles. i bought the henderson book for its novelty and used it as bedside reading. while i might not prepare any of the recipes from t.w.b. i would certainly try them. all in all great fun...
Book Review: great book from front to back Summary: 5 Stars
this is a great book for cooks of all types. anyone not familiar with the nose to tail society of the uk would benefit greatly from reading it. hendersons treatment of even the simplest of ingredients (onion, radish) is truly inspiring.
