Book Review: Artie revelations
Summary: 4 Stars

While I enjoyed the book, because I like the character so much, I found the book to be an A- to B+ overall...I base that on being a Sirius subscriber and regular listener to the Howard Stern Show. I am putting the context forward that if you are not a regular listener to the show, you will likely enjoy this book at even a higher appreciation level. Listening to the show daily, I found that many of the stories are redundant with regards to already have been told on the air. However, there are a hand full of unique stories as well including the details of his relationship with his father and his suicide attempt. These deeper dive stories do add value and appreciation of the comic star.
I recommend the book, but think it is important to appreciate the book under the context that there are many many repeats if you are an avid fan.

Book Review: Starting Again
Summary: 3 Stars

I recently finished this book and a few things stand out to me. Each time things didn't go your way, you qustioned your skills or was dealing with fear, your answer or action was to grab anything to put in your body to make it at ease. Everytime! Why is that?

Artie, thank you for being honest about somethings, thou some was for shock and some was your ego.

Having done a lot of the things you have and before you write your next book, stop and get off this train you are on. How........I would do anything if I were you. Your mother will bury you I have a feeling and 30 days after that.......it's Artie who? You can do it, many in worse shape then you have,go for it and watch how you react to situations (when they go your way).....before you reach for that Good luck

Book Review: A good read, but not "ha-ha" all the time
Summary: 4 Stars

You only think you know Artie Lange. The comedian, actor, and Stern show regular portrays himself as a Jersey goomba who made good. As this book clearly shows, Mr. Lange is very intelligent, a good story-teller, and insanely self-destructive.

"Too Fat To Fish" is entertaining, packed with great stories of Mr. Lange's life. But the sections on his various addictions and follies are engrossing and saddening.

Some parts made me laugh out loud and some made me cry. I'm not sure if I am reading the whole truth all the time. Mr. Lange never lets the truth get in the way of a good story-like the comedian he is.

Sometimes the chatty style and use of slang does not translate well to the written page. But if you want to know more about Artie, this book is a must-have.

Book Review: Baskin robbins called there down to 6 flavors
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is everything that I expected and more. I'm an avid Stern listner and i appreciate all the personalities, but i'm glad Artie decided to do this book to give insight on his life that was before unknown. The foreward by Stern is amazing and shows how highly he thiks of artie as a person. The book is at most times histerical, but it also shows the heartache that artie has experienced. This book expalins a lot about him. it also shows how gratefull he is for the what he has accomplished because at times it was very hard for him. This book shows Artie at his highs and his extreme lows but is a remainder of why he is so loved by his fans. The book is filled with tv personalities that have helped Artie get to where he is today, it is definatly worth reading

Book Review: Book Review: Artie Lange - Too Fat To Fish
Summary: 5 Stars

Comedian Artie Lange is a born story teller. For the past seven years Lange has told many of them, some good, some bad, but all of them funny in some way, shape or form in-depth on The Howard Stern Show and in his stage act.

Whether admitting to a threesome he had at a party in Los Angeles during his days on MadTV, or the time he picked up cocaine while in makeup as a pig lifeguard for the same show, or stories on his several addictions (cocaine, heroin, alcohol, gambling) and the hilarious and oftentimes harrowing results, or the time when he was just a little kid and his father used young Artie in order to meet Frankie Vali, Lange manages to ring out the pathos in every story, touching on a wide range of emotions in the process.
