Book Review: Apple Recipes should have Depth

Not too many recipes pull me into wanting to make them here. I have other of these cute books such as the Muffin and Waffle books and those are great. But the apple book just misses the boat. You can't convince me that there aren't some great and terrific Apple dishes out there. Remember however when you buy a cookbook no matter how small it's not the size but whats inside that counts. I often see people ditching these little books as to size without ever taking into account the recipes. How sad.....as we always say in our family. If we find just one great recipe in the book it's a keeper and probably has more. We also make recipes our own adding personal touches. For example I'm allergic to cinnamon and we substitute cloves/allspice/ginger/nutmeg or leave it out and no subs but in doing so the recipes and tastes can change and often improves so that many people have no idea that it called for the cinnamon. Lemon and nutmeg are my favorite surprise ingredients. Enjoy your apple a day!
