Book Reviews of Transdermal Magnesium Therapy

Book Review: Anxiety And Magnesium Oil
Summary: 5 Stars

I haven't read the book but I heard the author on the radio
talking with Dr Allen Pressman. If it was with anyone other
than Pressman I doubt I would have purchased the oil.
As far as I'm concerned Pressman is the man as many in
Hollywood found out years ago. I've been on a pill and
powder regime for six months with him with only some
progress. I bought his brand of the oil and
had it sitting on the shelf for some reason.
I have a big case of paralyzing anxiety.
I figured since I bought the stuff I might as well
use it. I put it on my kidneys, neck and shoulders.
I immediately felt better walking on the
street, much better. The first thing that entered my
mind was, wow, Pressman's pills are finally starting
to kick in. Except when I forgot to put the oil on Pressman's
pills did not work as well. I almost don't believe it.
If fact I still don't believe it. I will check back in
a couple of weeks for the my final word on this. I have
been fooled before by taking things that shock the system
and then wear off. It doesn't cure anything but, if it
does anything, it returns the body to a functioning whole
by sending the magnesium straight to the blood bypassing
the digestive track. I had to wait 30 freaking yrs to find it.
Hope it lasts. I don't/can't believe it. And no, I don't
know the author.

Book Review: very thorough
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is incredible! M Sircus has put together a meticulous collection of data available about magnesium. This puzzle, which he has put together from scientific studies from all around the world, reveals the lack of magnesium in almost everyone including YOU! Our eating habits combined with not knowing what we really eat have led to a general lack of magnesium. Consequences are the alarming rises of numbers of people, especially kids, suffering from maladies as diabetes and social misbehaviors that are of course treated by pharmaceutics. The amounts of magnesium needed, to really fend off many of these creeping maladies is growing. Combined with magnesium being provided less and less in our foods the application of transdermal Magnesium is a huge blessing. Anyone interested in getting better or staying healthy should get informed about Magnesium and its purpose in our bodies. As an additional info about the availability of any supplements not being prescribed by the medical / pharmaceutical community, our freedom to get what we need without permission from "THEM" will end on Dec 31st 2009, when the Codex Alimentarius will end all of the non prescription availability of supplements that we need more and more. On top of it you will not be able to buy any food that has not been irradiated or processed in one way or the other. The packaging might have the same nutritional value as the "food" that is packaged inside. Wake up everybody!!!!

Book Review: Important information
Summary: 4 Stars

Magnesium is so important for general health and doubly so when you have a serious disease (such as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis). It plays important roles in heart health, muscle function, neurological function and so much more.

This book talks a lot about how magnesium can help in many different conditions and gives lots of examples and case studies.

Overall, this is a book I wiould recommend to others, and I certainly agree with the author's message that magnesium is often deficient and that magnesium oil is one of the best ways to boost your levels. However, the book could really have done with more information on applying magnesium oil, as another reviewer has also said.

I preferred the way the magnesium information was set out on Sircus's website, rather than in this book....but this is still an excellent book! All you really need to know though is to try some magnesium oil (starting at a low dose and working up, depending on how you feel) and see what it does for you.

I'm using it daily and my dad says it has worked wonders for his muscle pain and headaches.

Book Review: Spare your money on this book
Summary: 2 Stars

I have read so many books that simply use a lot of hype to generate sales while only giving very little applicable information, and this one is no different. My first tip off was the fact that the author called himself a doctor but never graduated from a doctorate program. I think he calls it an "Honorary" doctorate. In any event the book is OK, especially by bringing attention to the fact that most people underestimate the need for more magnesium. The practical application of the book can be condensed to a couple of suggestions, however. That is, Magnesium Oil can be added to your bath water, foot soak or applied directly to your skin. So if interested purchase the magnesium oil and add it to your bath etc. Taking an epsom salt bath will also allow a transdermal movement of magnesiun at a fraction of the cost. The book is OK but the practical information can be easily found for free on the internet.

Book Review: Not Much Information on the Transdermal Method
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought this book specifically to learn more about applying magnesium oil topically to raise magnesium levels in the body. Given the title, I thought that the whole book would be devoted to that topic, which was incorrect. This book offers good general information on magnesium and disease states/conditions that seem to result from low magnesium levels, but there is very little information specifically on the transdermal application of magnesium, in fact, less than 10% of the book.

If you want to read a somewhat technical book that fully covers magnesium, related disease states in great detail, and the different methods of using magnesium, which includes the transdermal approach, then you will probably find this book helpful.
