I really wish that my review could do this book justice. This book is a worth every penny of the regular price and a steal at the current price. I understand that it and two others are now out on DVD. (Next purchase!)
Woe to those that do not choose this book as it is likely the only book that I have read on this subject so far that doesn't come off as dry as a piece of day old toast or a mind numbing "How-To" manual.
This book is FULL of real life lessons put in a humorous, fun to read, and story telling fashion. There are pointers, do's and don'ts, must have's and have not's, and most importantly- what to expect. This book not only has what to do.. but more importantly- what NOT to do. Much more valuable to me. Nearly every question I had was answered in this book and doesn't make me feel as much trepidation over my choice to pursue my dream of using my God given talent for something other than ordering pizza. This book puts into wonderful and colorful perspective the actual work that is required and how much fun I am going to be having doing it! A wise man once said "Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life". Well I am tired of working for a living! Thanks to this book and the insider's look at my (hopefully) new profession by Harlan Hogan, I hope to never work again! The only con I can think of is that it is too short! While the publishers may have thought that more anecdotal passages would cost too much in paper, with the way Mr. Hogan presents the information, it would have made this book even stronger than its current, top of the line, industrial strength. The short and sweet version- PURCHASE THIS BOOK!
