Book Reviews of Vegan Lunch BoxBook Review: Don't have to be vegan to love this book! Summary: 5 Stars
If I was a man I would try to marry this woman. As it is I just wish I could be her, or have half of her creative enthusiasm. She takes her passion seriously, and her shmoo is one lucky little guy. Hard to imagine a little boy happily eating all those different kinds of foods. This book is inspirational, how to make it fun for your kid to eat right. Instead of being the one kid who "can't" eat what others are eating, your child can be the envy of all the others. I love it. I won't wait until my daughter starts school, we'll have to pack up some picnic lunches in the meantime! FABULOUS!
Book Review: Couldn't do without it now. Summary: 5 Stars
Vegan Lunch Box really doesn't need yet another stellar review, but it's getting one anyway! This book is full of more than great recipes, it is full of great complete meals, each one balanced and fulfilling. I have only had a chance to try a few of the meals so far, but I don't think I could be without this book now. Everything I have tried tastes great and is easy to make. Now all I need is one of those bento boxes or stackable stainless steel things and I'm set! Thanks so much to Jennifer and her family for publishing this wonderful book.
Book Review: for the post college pre adult sect Summary: 5 Stars
I thought I was doing pretty well on portable lunch... until I realized that often last night's pasta and fried rice were sitting in my backpack while I wasted money at the food court. Now my coworkers are unabashedly nosey and jealous of my four course meals (I totally got the kids laptop lunchbox--too poor to afford the fancy adult one) and I still assemble them the night before while I'm preparing dinner, so you don't have to be a stay-at-home-mom to have time for this. Besides, this book is so cute it hits all your competetive buttons :)
Book Review: Wonderful array of inspiring menus for the kids Summary: 5 Stars
We aren't vegan, or even vegetarian, but like anyone else we run out of options when trying to figure out what to feed the kids that isn't junk. We had been following along avidly with Jennifer's veganlunchbox blog for quite a while, and were delighted when she said she was going to do a book version. The book is very well done, with lots of fantastic menus in it. All the menus have 5-star 'shmoo' ratings so you know they are going to be good. We've made several things already and they've all been delicious. [...]
Highly recommended!
Book Review: fun, easy and delicious! Summary: 5 Stars
I found Jennifer's blog and ordered her book after trying a bunch of recipes she provided on the recipe blog. Every single recipe I have tried (about 20 so far) has been easy to prepare, delicious and CUTE! My 2 boys are not very easy to please when it comes to new foods, so we are slowly introducing things, but my husband and I (and our adventurous 18m daughter) are LOVING the foods in the book. Her blog and book have inspired us to join a local co-op and reconsider being vegan again (we used to be, pre-kids.) Excellent. Life changing!
